2008 Januari

I wrote Januari instead of January because it’s in Swedish, so don’t complain :P

This first month of 2008 has been mainly shaped by farewells. Farewells to all the people who has left Karlskrona because they have finished their programs at BTH and have gone back to their home countries. And I really miss some of them. On the other hand, some of the people who had to leave haven’t been able to resist the temptation and they’re going to stay until June :D.

Aside from that, I began the month enjoying which were my last days in Madrid, at least for some months. And I was sad to leave, but when I arrived back at Karlskrona, there was one surprise waiting for me… 15 cm of snow! It had snowed the day before I arrived, and it also snowed 2 days after. But the snow soon melted, and since then we haven’t had any decent snow, just a few flakes dropping a couple of days.

Also, the day I mentioned in the previous paragraph in which it snowed a lot, it was during the night, and I was hoping to wake up early to take great pics of Karlskrona with virgin snow. However, here the emergency services seems to be very effective, because at 4 a.m. the snow plows were already working and removing most of the snow.

In the academic side, I took some exams, one of them being one of the hardest I’ve ever done, as it was 24 hours long (really!). Anyway, I’m very happy with how I did them. I’ve passed the ones from which I already know the results, but I’m still waiting for one of them. Also, having done that exams, at last I can begin to work seriously on my degree project, which is the only obstacle left to earn my degree.

And now, just to finish, I’m very happy because, as I said some days ago, I’ve been selected for a BEST Course in Istanbul, related with bioenergy, a topic that I find very interesting.

I don’t think I’m forgetting anything, but if I remember anything else, I’ll update the post.

P.S.: Some of the phrases in this post are really twisted… I’ll try to rewrite them tomorrow, now I have no time.
